I went to my sister and brother in laws graduation today at the school I graduated from! Proud of them both! My sister got a BA in Psychology and my brother in law got his Masters of Accountancy. Sister will graduate with a BS in Child Development also from a different school (she lacked once class before changing her major and transferring schools. She is taking the final class this summer for the second degree (has to take it at the school she started the degree in). The she will begin her masters in Social Work. She has worked hard to get there and we are proud of her! I graduated in 2008 so it was nice returning for the day. Sure brought back a lot of good memories! I got the chills when after my sisters ceremony the graduates started up the school chant!

And yes, I was armed at both commencement ceremonies thanks to Mississippi's new Enhanced Permit Endorsement!

Congrats to everyone on Glock Talk that graduates this year! We are proud of y'all even if we don't know you personally! Enjoy your accomplishments!

I've been finished for a while, but PhDs are only officially conferred at the end of the academic year. So I defended my thesis two weeks ago

and it's public now, if anyone wants to read it (link).

I'll be hooded, in an atrocious purple gown (Northwestern's colors are white and purple) and wearing that ridiculous soft tam cap thing, next month. I've never participated in a college graduation ceremony before, so honestly I'm pretty excited.

Make sure to bring a sharp knife. You know, just in case.

Congratulations. It sounds like you've earned it.

My mom graduated last week with her masters and such in nursing. Thats the only one I've attended to this year, no others in the near future.

I just graduated last week with a BS in Natural Resources with an emphasis in Wildlife Management. I've been sending out resumes and job applications like crazy hoping that an opportunity comes my way.

Finished my classes a while ago, but they only order the diplomas once a year, so I'm told mine came in the mail last week. I am now, officially, an engineer!

Congrats to all the grads. I have 2 classes to go for my associates in Accounting so I'll be in the winter graduation. Then it's off to finish my BS either in business or accounting depending on where I go. Good times.

My cousin's oldest girl graduates HS this year, but their commencement is on a Tuesday night. She lives 6.5 hours away, else I would be there. I am so proud of the woman she is turning out to be. When she was younger, she wouldn't leave my side when I visited, then her other sisters would do the same as they grew up. She was a Jr Bridesmaid in my wedding.

Her parents raised her right. She started working a job when she was 15, and 2 months after she got her license at 16 she bought her own first car. She saves a good majority of her money, doesn't get into bad habits or hang with the wrong crowd, and is accepting of everyone.

Congrats to all of our graduates here too. You guys should all be proud.

    LOL, that's funny.

PS, my wife has degrees in Mechanical and Materials Engineering, and I've heard this joke many times.
