You got me. 2000 Camry turned over 240,000 last week. I’ll drive it until another deer runs into me. Then I’ll buy another with 150,000 ish on it. It’s been that way for the last 10 years or so.

    Jeez, I'm obviously not typical!
    2016 Mercedes about 20k
    2018 Beetle 9k

I donated an '88 GMC 2500 in 2015 with just under 60k on it. The interior had grown mold at one point. Had it detailed, and drove it once every month after that.

115k, '14 Passat TDI. Used to get over 700 miles per tank. After VW's reprogramming, gets about 600 miles per tank. Still great car. Keeps miles off my truck.

Have you looked into an apr tune? I think they run about 600$ but give you a serious kick in the paints power wise and better mpg

Nah, not into performance mods. I'm fine with the car as is. Maybe it's from my teenage days of "if it ain't broke, fix it till it is"!

2016 Subaru Impreza hatch, 85k miles. I'll keep it until it gets unreliable or hits 200k, whichever comes first.

My wife got a new 2019 Honda CRV in April, and gave me her 2014 with 36,000 original on it.
Nine months later the 2014 CRV I drive has 58,500.
That's 22,500 in nine months, I am going to try for 250,000.
    We'll see.

As long as a vehicle is properly maintained, mileage is not much of a worry.
It has always been that way really, just that in more recent years, there is less maintenance.

When I worked in my dads shop in the 70s, there was a guy with an older Mercedes. Every 100,000 miles he would have the engine overhauled. At 3 or 400k he replace the engine. His intent wast to drive it for 1 million miles. He had made it a little over half way the last time I saw him.

I would never try this on some of the newer cars that are overloaded with technology. Those need to be dumped while there is still warranty and resale value.

That's what my mechanic tells me. He has a few loaner cars for customers to use while your car is being worked on. He loaned me another '05 Accord to use, it has over 250,000 and runs like a dream.
