Problem, every program I use to burn an ISO image to cd I get a message that my disk has been writen to already. I check the disk and it is blank.

I went as far as buying new blank cd's and get the same results.

I've used Nero, Roxio, and ISORecorderV2RC1.

I am trying to burn a Linix Live cd.

    Any ideas?

Sometimes more than one CD burning program can cause problems.Sometimes more than one CD drive, even they aren't both writers can cause problems. It might be the drive though. For burning CD's Windows XP lately I've been using DeepBurner Free 1.8.0.224.It's a free program.

Another good one for ISO's is burnatonce 0.99.5.It takes a bit more to used to it.

Which Live Linux CD are you burning?

I'll uninstall all but one and see what happens. I can burn data and music cd, just not ISO's.

    Try imgburn(its free)
Also update the firmware for your burner if possible.

Great!!My mother has a fairly nice PC but it's a Pentium 3.She paid a lot for it and refuses to buy a new PC.I upgraded her OS from Win 98 to Win XP.Her old software wouldn't work in XP but her 16X CD burner is newer than the PC.I chose a bunch of freeware for her including Deep Burner. It works so well I put it in my PC.All her additional software is freeware and her PC runs faster with Win XP than it did with Win 98.
