I have put maybe 500 rounds through this 23c. Is this anything to be concerned about?
Try scrubbing it with a phosphor bronze brush and some bore solvent.
I don't have a C model, but I have one with the dark gray barrel like that and it doesn't have any marks like that, not even in the bore.
It's only a surface marking so it shouldn't cause any problems. I'm guessing it could be leading.
I don't think so my friend.
I had rub marks under the barrel of my G19 Gen3 when new. The recoil spring did it. I called Glock and the guy told me not to worry, the barrel was harder than the spring and I should be OK. Marks rubbed off when cleaning, so I guess he was right.
you guys rock. problem solved. When I looked at it I thought it was the finish rubbing off, but after the suggestions, a little bit of bore cleaner and a brush and it came off. Good as new. Thanks
Yeah that's an odd mark even for carbon from the port. Almost looks like you had some jacket material caught in between the barrel and slide while it was cycling (if it is in fact finish that is worn away). Do as suggested above to see if it comes off. Here is what mine looks like. You can see slight marks between the ports only.
Glad you got it worked out
Glad you got it off. Have a safe night.
