Called to see if my local dealer could order me a G36. He said "they were no longer available".
Is this true? How about the G30S? Still being made or not? They both are still shown on the Glock USA website - but I'm not sure that means anything?
    Thanks in advance.

I'm curious about the answer. I was thinking of getting one.

The 36 and 30S are still listed on the free pistol certs, so I would say they are still in production. When the production runs happen is anyone's guess.

99% of the time an LGS says that Glock “isn’t making them anymore,” it’s untrue. A ploy to get the consumer to buy something in stock.

I agree with Valmet. Why would Glock retool the frame on the G36, with a weapon mounted light frame rail. And then stop producing it so soon afterward? It would not make sense to do that. Glocks all about making money. They just do runs of frame sizes and calibers. But right now 9MM guns are wanted now. So why make non 9MM when you can sell all the 9MM you can make?

Because it's a mutant. Compared to all of the other non-slimline guns, it has the least number of compatible parts with other models. That's one of the reasons that model ended in Gen 3. Glock rarely does production runs of Gen 3 guns in Smyrna. I would be VERY surprised if any of them included the 36.

Don't know why not! Great little 45acp. I don't see Glock dropping it right now...

G36? I carried mine today. They are an odd duck, but have a loyal following. I’d bet pastries to pesos Glock still has them in the production line-up. My favorite, for moderate weather carry. Others in the rotation during the summertime. Mainly G27 and G43.
