I'll be shooting Amateur Civilian at Statesville. I have the standard white outline rear sight on my G17 and I'm wondering if the use of sight black is permitted?

Will not be a problem. Color the sights as black as you want.

Just don't win too many Glocks or the GSSF Police will outlaw it.;f

Thanks for the information and I'm not master blaster material yet.
Just looking for all the help I can find. Those sights leave a lot to be desired.

Many GSSF shooters prefer black sights over all the white dots, lines and arrows.

Duane, look for us in our grey Team Sidearmor golf shirts. There will be about a dozen of us there at the Statesville match. Any one of us will be glad to help you. I'm the short, fat, old, ugly and bearded one, and will be there both days.

I started using sight black and have had no problems with ROs. I have the can in my bag, and I wait until they tell me I can handle the gun. Then pick it up and spray away!
