I am new to CCW and i have been leaving a spare mag in my console in my car. I am worried that that ammo might get moist from heating and cooling, because it is cold out and then when i drive it heats up from the heater and then cools when im not driveing etc....So is this going to hurt anything and should i start bringing the mag in with me or am i just being worrying to much?

I do the same, but I also rotate the ammo in the spare mag and gun every January and June, occasionally more often depending on exposure to the elements. Old habits are hard to break sometimes but it gives me some peace of mind.

Each January I buy a box of ammo for the gun I carry and do the ammo rotation. The "old rounds" go back into their original box for practice at the range.

What kind of mag and what kind of ammo? Not that I think it matters, just curious.

I swap mine out once a year.

    Usually at the range.

I keep a extra Magazine in my truck and one in my Motorcycle As a rule when i go to the range I shoot the loaded Magazines. Then replace with fresh ammo when I get home.

Yep, I think that's a pretty good trunk gun.

Heck yes! Of course there's more guns in my house, but depending on timing, I'm sometimes much closer to my car than my house!

I have seen a can of OC pop in the trunk in the Vegas heat but never a mag full of bullets.
