If money were no object I’d build a custom Glock. But it surely wouldn’t have any Gucci bling. I’d get a G17 and send it straight to Bar-Sto for a match fitted barrel (over $500 in barrel plus labor). I’d then drop in a Vanek Trigger Kit, or maybe send pistol to Johnny Glock. Might as well have Jagerwerks mill it for a Leupold DPP while we’re fantasizing.

That would be a beast. Would give many fancy pants 1911’s a run for their money.

It would be a foolish endeavor for Glock to create something similar. They already make pistols that will shoot between 2 and 3” groups right from the factory (no doubt even tighter in the right hands).

    Custom Glock? Not really.
Glock PCC? Hell yes. I’d buy two- 9mm and 10mm....immediately.

    Then I’d change the sights.

There is an ignore button, maybe you should use it if this is personal.

An obvious victim of forum "microaggression". Perhaps Glock Talk needs a "safe space" for refuge.

Glock leaves a lot of money on the table, for whatever reason. I don't even need tuned triggers and mated barrels. How long did they go avoiding making threaded barrels, denying the need for magazine extensions/sleeves, and refusing to sell us replacement slides?!?

They are totally missing the boat, but it is painfully obvious they don't even WANT to cross the water... so they don't see it as a miss, but rather as a plan.

Their business, their decisions. But if they made parts for and sold a Glock with a manual safety, they would see a lot of sales (ignoring the debate over whether a safety is good/bad or needed/unnecessary... they would sell lots of both!). They choose not to. Opportunity lost.

They are definitely missing the boat - not necessarily in not having a performance center; but in not continuing to innovate.

At one time, they were ahead of the curve - just like Compaq Computers (as well as Gateway, Zenith, IBM, etc.). I bought a Glock 19 when they first came out and have several Glocks. For a time, a 19 and 26 were my main carry guns. Was lured away to the 1911 camp for a bit. Now mostly carry either Sig 365 or Sig 938. Will almost certainly get a Sig 365 xl at some point.
