It would be nice.
Considering that the G30 is already being shipped with rails, and the G30 shares the same frame with the G29, it is very likely.
It should take a little longer, since the G29s sell slower than the G30. Nonetheless, I will need to pick one up soon, before it gets hit with the Ugly Stick. ^<wg
I figured it would be too short for rails to be much use, but then again, I guess I haven't seen the G30's with them either. I would think most accessories would extend way beyond the muzzle.
Feast your eyes on this:
I saw a 29 with rails at the NRA convention here in Houston at the Glock exhibit. So yes, they are coming out with rails just like the 30.
However, I read on this fourm a few weeks back that someone contacted Glock trying to get a 29 with rails and apparently they are not available yet. I guess Glock doesn't constantly produce the 29 due to low popularity compaired to other models. So from what they said the next batch made, whenever that is, will include rails.
/\ yes, What rawny said.
I talked to glock a coule of weeks ago and they said they currently didnt have any railed g29's(which this could have all changed by now) but since the g30 uses the same frame as the g29 the next batch of g29's made will have rails.
I really wanted a G20 with rails (and sold my 2nd gen G20 to get a 3rd gen), but I think I'm gonna stick with my existing G29. For my use, I can't see ever mounting anything to a CCW piece. But, to each their own. I guess if it's on there it doesn't mean you have to use it!
its all about the pistol bayonet......
;f *visualizing a 15" spike bayonet on my Glock 20*
Mako Tactical Glass Buster source in case you want one: http://www.botac.com/tdiartaglbu.html
Note that it has a lower rail for light attachment or another Tactical Glass Buster for a backup!
