I herd that glock has a 5.56 small carbine rifle, with a big clip. Is this true, and some smaller mini pistols like Kel-tec a 380/ 32, and maybe a small 9mm, as well........is this just here say?.....John...

Dont know the exact release date, but I've been told by a Glock employee that a 223 is in the works. He didnt know very much as the details are being kept pretty quiet. He speculated that it would use standard M16/AR15 mags based on Glock's philosophy of such things.

The only other things he knew of in the works are the addition of rails on the G29 and G30. Also planned for this year.

Don't know whether or not they are, but if so, don't count on it making their website. I've come to the conclusion that all recent Glock models are top secret, which explains why Glock doesn't want them posted on their website.

That being said, if Glock makes a .223, and it's got some cool GLOCK-type bells and whistles, I'll be picking one up. ;)

they wont use previosly existing 5.56 mags, they will be new ones, its just not in glocks mindset to turn down the money from mag sells !

Just curious about whether or not this is going to be an NFA/Class III settup? The original poster said it might be a "small carbine rifle". Does that equal SBR?

    Thanks!

    Not exclusively?

What does that mean? Will there be more than one model of Glock .223?

Not trying to hi-jack, but thanks!

Yea Im mot sure how small, but it will be a carbine type setup, on the new glock.. 5.56 cal .. It was said to be a tight shooting work horse like the G17 pistol...something that the public/ and lawenforcement can use, marine, coastguard, as well... at least this is what I herd, who knows...But I will have to own one when it comes out, if it is as good as a G17....... ;e ;c start selling your Ruger mini 14s.................;f

Same here. I've already told my dealer to order/hold the first one he gets for me as I will be trading in my current G29 for one.

The dust cover on the 29/30 isn't long enough to support a light.

Thats pretty much my first reaction when I was told about the rail. I stated that the receiver would have to be altered in some way to increase the bearing area in front of the trigger guard(like maybe removing some of the trigger guard). But the rep said I was wrong and it would be out this year(hint was by summer somtime). I said OK, hope you're right.
    We'll see.

A rail for my g29... (or rather a new g29 w/ rail)... THAT would replace my G20 as my nightstand gun. I hope this happens.

It's about time the G30 has a rail option.
