I'm seeing G37, G38, and G39s out there for $380 new in box, and it's starting to look like the rot is in for the GAP cartridge, I have no idea what a box of 50 JHPs costs these days, but I'll bet it's painful.

So is anyone still holding on to their GAPs, and are they just a conversation piece these days?

yeah, don't think so. I pay $23 for a box of 50 Federal HST and $22 for a box of fmj's.

Florida Highway Patrol just went to the GAP. I think to NE State units did too.
If the GAP had written Tom Sawyer, it might say the reports of its death had been greatly exaggerated.

I,m still holding on to mine, I really like the GAP round it makes alot of sense not to have all that wasted empty space in a round.

I just joined the GAP crowd.

I think the GAP is the perfect answer for those of us who love a .45 caliber round but have hands that are too small for a large frame GLOCK.

It's not dead. Plugged in to life support would be a better description.

    It's pretty nice
The GAPs, a 17L and 18 are the only Glocks I hav'nt owned at one time or another. I'll never* own a GAP but it shows the average priceof GAP quite a bit cheaper than ACP. Been carrying my M&P 45c the last few weeks, carries better than my 23 for some reason. It and my 23 are the most accurate auto pistols I own.

    *never say never!

Just traded for a G38 a couple of months ago. I still need to grab another magazine or two, but my plan is to use it as my duty pistol. I like the feel of the midsize Glock frame, identical to my G19, with a round that duplicates the .45acp. I prefer the midsize frame to the full size G17 size, but on duty I will probably add Glock mag extensions to increase capacity. 9 rounds of .45 is pretty darn good in a duty pistol, in a package that is lighter than a 1911, and has a rail for a weapon light to boot. So no, I am not willing to consign the GAP to the graveyard of forgotten calibers just yet.

Well it's not a 38 but I know Buds has a NIB G37 for $375.00 delivered. I would get one as here in Florida the .45 GAP round is common but rather a nice G30sf.
