What holster is that I see a majority of you guys using? It appears to be some sort of open top duty holster(unless I'm somehow missing the thumbstrap the many times i've seen it), so I assume it has some sort of internal locking system.

Most have a Safariland level II.

Snap that secures a flap on front of holster that goes over top of slide, with an internal lock.

Older officers have a similar holster with the strap going over the rear of the slide.

Not sure when the changeover occurred.

The above is for former IPD.

Most of the former MCSD have a level III holster that was common on county.

Some officers have alternative holsters that fit tac lights or have a different retention method.
