Is there a decent iPad app for sketching basic drawings. I'm thinking something like Autocad V2.1?

Cad touch looks like it has potential, just thought I'd ask around first.

    Thanks

    AutoCad V2.1 ?

Woudn't that be an old-d-d-d version?

Do you need AutoCad drawing-file compatibility (.dwg file format)?

I haven't tried it, but I've heard good things about BricsCad

Or you might consider AutoCad Lite.

    Yeah...old, late 80's I suppose.

Autocad LT isn't available on the iPad, and would be a little pricy anyway. WS is for markups.

Compatibility with Autocad would be a plus, but isn't necessary.

You Bricscad looks like a real cad program, not something that would run on the iPad.

Just would like the ability to accurately sketch ideas.

Acad V2.1 was an early DOS version...
Do you think you could get it to run on the iPad?

I began using AutoCad at version 9, the immediate successor to v2.1.
That was in 1987 if I recall correctly.

Sounds like we started at the same time. R9 at school/work. Some co workers had V2 at home.

I'ts not that I want to run Acad V2 on my iPad. I just want basic functionality similar to the early Autocad. The iPad doesn't have the power to run a real cad program, nor is it necessary for me.

Cadtouch R4 looks like it will work. I'm just curios if anyone who does cad work for a living has found an adequate sketcher for their iPad.
