Came out a little after 1PM Eastern, I'm updating my devices right now.
Let us know how it goes. When iOS5 came out, it took my days to get my wife's phone to update.
Will do, yeah I had a lot of trouble updating when iOS5 came out, seems its going a lot smoother this time around.
I updated my iPad2 in less than 10 min.
That being said, I've got a 50mbps connection here so the download part went quick.
Yup, similar experience here with a 100mbps connection.
Bragging about your awesome internet connections when I'm paying around $80-$90 a month total for two ISP's one 6mbps down and half up, and a 10 down and half up internet connection....
Considering the internet you two get, I bet you cant step outside your front door and empty a Ak magazine without someone calling the police? So be jealous of that.
Mine went without a hitch
I'd almost....ALMOST trade you
ETA...I have a gun range withing walking distance.
You don't understand how bad I want a decent internet connection, the few months out of the year I'm at my aunt and uncles in Florida I'm in heaven with there 15 down and 5 up. and they only pay like $30 some a month!!!! unlimited!!! Both my connections are capped to 150 gigs!
Yeah but I bet you have to pay don't you? A few hundred and I could have a range like hickok.
I was in your situation until I moved in November of 2011. I lived just far enough outside of town that I couldn't get high speed internet. I could shoot in the field behind the house, and fish in the pond, and really loved the view. I got my internet connection by plugging in my Verizon wireless 3g USB into a Cradlepoint wireless router. It was just fast enough to play my PS3 online if nobody else was online. I think I got T-1 speeds of 1.5 meg down. As someone working in IT, it was frustrating trying to work from home and sometimes gave up and would drive to the office to work.
Now I'm living in town and love the high speed internet but miss the privacy and view. If I could move, I would prefer living in the country to high speed internet any day.
I feel your pain, I really do. Last house I didn't have access to the fiber optic network and got 1mbps down and 384kbps up.
Its not just my house its this WHOLE side of the state.
I downloaded the gold master of iOS 6 last week.
I'm loving it. I used the turn by turn to drive to Arkansas for a fishing trip. No more need for the TomTom app.

iOS 5 went well for me, hopefully the upgrade to 6 will go smoothly too.
How much data does the navigation take? Any idea? I'm on an unlimited plan right now but going to switch on the family data later this year.
FYI, first phone when flawless. Second phone bricked itself. Restoring it from backup worked fine though. So...BE SURE TO DO A BACKUP first.
Not much. The GPS Is separate from your data connection. Different radio. Only getting some updated mapping info uses data and not much of that since it downloads small portions.
Mind you, it was plugged into the car the whole time I was driving but my data usage numbers are low- 400mb but that's with downloading other stuff all the time. The data usage is low.
Always. Everyone should be set to automatic updates.

4S transferred purchases, backed up, restored, downloaded, updated, and synced in about 20 minutes.
Mine's jailbroken so I'm holding off on an update..
