There is nothing wrong with the 238 in pic. I put 50 rounds through it last night without cleaning and had zero issues. Just cleaned it and a few other pistols and heading back out. These have a pretty good rep though and have been out for nine years.

I was texting with a friend who works at a GB Top 25. They sell a ton of Sigs. I made that up while telling her about the new pistol and headed straight to GT to share my bit o' wit.

I love the little Sig though really. It feels much bigger in the hand than it is. It's barely larger than the Kahr P380 and it literally disappears in a PM9 holster. I can post pics later if anyone is interested. Not happy it only came with one mag. WTF? Even my 2022 came with two mags. I'll post more on it later. Going to tell everyone I see this weekend how hilarious I am.

Thanks. We feel pretty much the same on what an acceptable EDC is. This is not it but will make a great BUG or get the mail and mow the lawn pistol for uninformed trespassers that never show up. I carry a J frame with snake shot for no legged threats. It's accurate, pretty nice looking, my only SAO pistol and does not have a plastic frame! I'll keep it regardless but if one of the ladies in my life take a liking to it I'd be thrilled to give it up or share as long as I'm not buying the ammo.

Exeter. I can't find a single manufacturing blem anywhere. I usually look really hard after I get home and can't take it back as I did with this one.

Just a few more thoughts after shooting it again tonight. I'll add anything else that pops up or I think of here also. I do not like the front sight. It's got NS on it and the front is tritium and those tubes that gather light during the day - Hi Viz? I'll have to take a pic to show what I don't like about it and why. Already ordered a set of G10 green damascus with pirhana texture. Ordered more mags so I'll have one six round, one seven with grip extension and the other seven round mag I'll pull the grip extension off and use as spare only.

As I said in a previous post, I've never had a SAO pistol before and have never given any serious thought to carrying a pistol with a safety but with this it is the nature of the beast. If the safety was not as intuitive to use and positive in it's on/off position as it is, it would be a boring, expensive range toy. I'll carry it without a holster in my pocket as I have been. I have plenty of pocket holsters that fit and drawing with a holster and switching the safety off is not for me right now. Trying to clear the holster without pulling it out of the pocket with the gun gets real difficult when you also try to cram a huge thumb in there at the same time. I'm confident the safety will not move unless I want it to. When I pocket carry that pocket is off limits for anything else, just like when I pocket carry a Kahr or a J frame in a holster.

I'm glad you like it. You do understand there is quite the disconnect in your thread when you denigrate a brand and then show a model apparently with no issues.

The pic and words about the pistol were an afterthought. I have avoided dissing Sig in all of those threads but the one currently active has made me wonder who's running the circus there lately. I had no problem purchasing this pistol and there are others I would consider also. No way anything that does not have five trouble-free years on the market. I posted in that thrad yesterday and mentioned my new pistol since people seem to think if you think Sig has screwed up bad lately, that you don't like them or are a Glocky. Neither is true for me. I own three Sig pistols and a rifle today and have plans to sell none of them.

I didn't find the safety on the P938 to be easy to manipulate. It's position and the fact that it's stiff made it tough for me.

I held a 938 the day I purchased the 238. I wanted it to be just like the 238 but more powerful. It is substantially larger, especially in width. The width of the slide is nothing like the 238. I watched a review where a guy was comparing them and he mentioned the width of each in numbers. The numbers do sound close but the numbers do not tell the story. Anyway, just added that if you have not handled the 238. The safety is 'stiff' I suppose which is why I find it suitable for carry. I do not want it switching off or on unless I intentionally flip it obviously.

I explained it well. I should have not added the pic or info on the P238. I've posted about 10% of the time I have aquired a new firearm since joining Glock Talk. Some members here really get upset about what is said and thought of certain brands and cartridges. I doubt I'm alone in saying it's Sig and 9mm [insert the word that is used here]. It sounds so gay to me I refuse to say it or type it.

AGAIN, NOT A SIG HATER, I AM A SIG OWNER AND HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF TWO SIG FORUMS FOR OVER A DECADE OR SO. Please don't take the internet personally people. It can't be enjoyable that way!
