On both my laptop and desktop machines, when I close IE7 it crashes and I get an error message (which is gibberish to me). If I have 5 IE tabs open, for example, and close 1 of them, all 5 crash.

I'm using Firefox on both machines as well, along with AVG, so I don't know if that factors into it.

Any suggestions on how to get IE to stop crashing? I click on "debug" on the error message, but nothing happens.

    thanks!

    Here is the error message:
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6000.16512 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 001a4169

hmm, No clue on the error...

but let me be the first to guide you to the revolution! ;)

    http://www.mozilla.com
    http://www.opera.com

Either of those two browsers will be way better than Redmond's offering.

I do use primarily Firefox, but would like for IE to work too.

Hmm without the actual error code I cannot tell you how to fix it effectively... But using firefox is good but it doesn't load EVERY page correctly like IE does. I would recommend wiping out IE7 and reinstalling it using Firefox to download the latest full version of IE7.
