I upgraded to internet explorer 7 beta 3 tonight but every link i left lick on opens regular in the same window. when i click the scroll wheel down on a link it opens the link in a new browser window completely (I don't like this feature, because i have to visually look at a page to make sure i don't click a link I don't want to before I can scroll)

I can't figure out a way for it to use tabs for the browsing for differnet links. Can anyone explain this to me?

i've never had a problem with internet explorer. It always works for me and I've never had virus or spyware issues that my antivirus and ad-aware have taken care of. and it works with everything.

You have to right click on the link and left click on "open this link in new tab"

You've figured out how to open up another tap in the same window (without clicking a link)right?

As I'm sure most have already said, without even reading the replies, your best bet is to quit screwing around with IE and just download Firefox.

I'm using Beta 2, so it may or may not work the same as your beta version. Left-clicking a link opens a new browser window. Clicking a link with the wheel opens a new tabbed window.

Also, if you look at the tab for your current window, there should be a small tab just to the right of the main tab. Left-clicking that small tab will open up a new tabbed window.

If you click on tools, internet options, and then tab settings, you should be able to set up your preferences.

there website says you right click and choose tabbed I have no such option even though in the options it is susposed to be setup for tabed browsing. maybe this version is just screwed up or something but I'd think beta 3 would have this working.

When you go to tools, internet options, tabs settings....is "enable tabbed browsing" selected?

Personally, although I found Firefox to be better than IE 6.0, I still had to use IE on many occasions.

So far, I've had no issues with IE 7.0, albeit the beta version.

IE6 is an integrated part of windows XP. It's by far NOT just a browser in it by my understanding.

I double checked and all the settings are for tabbed browsing, but tabbed browsing options are not there when I right click :frown:

Other than reinstalling it, you might try to contact Microsoft.

Since it's a beta version, I suspect they'll be very interested in any problems you're having.
