I have a cable internet connection that seems to be kinda slow lately. I did a speed test at Speakeasy.com. The results were download 5764 kbps and upload 763 kbps. Are the results normal? Upload seems really slow.

Call your provider and have them come out to test your signal strength.

My cable completely quit 2 days ago. It was because our signal strength was horrible. I had a technician come out and the line going into my modem tested at 0.3, it was supposed to be around 7. He ran new lines and by the time he was done we were at 9.1. He said our reading at the outside of the house was as strong as he usually see's at the pole.

I have AT&T DSL and I been having nothing but problems off and on for several weeks. I finally got it back up after it was down for about week. Now its slow at heck. With blazing fast speeds of (Download Speed: 294 kbps, Upload Speed: 432 kbps.) Looks like call #15 to at&t. I about had enough.

I am on Clearwire here in the Atlanta area and get 10M download and 1.5M upload at Speakeasy Speedtest. I had DSL that got flakey and when CW opened shop I jumped. I've had it for 7 months and it smokes. $40 per month tax, tips and driveout (I pay for 6M download and 600K upload and unlimited data. No funky FCC or city or county fees either. My iPhone will do 1.2M download and 600K upload.

Cable speeds will vary depending on time of day and traffic in your local area.

5mbps download and .5 - 1mbps upload are quite normal.
