    You can buy, or build, an AR-15 in CA as long as it's featureless.

    That looks like it would be fun on a suppressed 300BO. At least for a few shots.

    Well, It would turn any AR-15 (registered or not) into a bolt rifle....

    In the late 1990’s David Tubb, a High Power and Long Range competitor built the first one. Then, began marketing it as the Tubb 2000.

    No, Tubbs built a sled bolt action gun. from the ground up. It was not a conversion. And there are lots of bolt action AR's out there.

    I think I would go with an AR pump action kit before that. And living in NJ, I need to consider that possibility.
