It only inclubes successes. There could be thousands of times where defenders failed. It's a silly article. He doesn't reference how he got his data. The Armed Citizen rarely has the details the author analiyzed, so did he do follow up on the shooting incidents himself?
Where does he get the 80% of firearm injusries is self-inflicted? I'm not saing it's bogus, but it sounds kind of high.
Too small of a sampling. Statistically we arm ourselves to defend against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year.
