The president has executive privilege to do that. What he cannot do is use taxpayer money to bribe a foreign official into doing that...but there's no evidence of that happening.

Where are you getting this idea that the president of the united states can't ask a foreign official to investigate the potential corruption of someone who happens to be running for office?

You leftists should welcome an investigation of Biden. If he isn't guilty he has nothing to fear. That's what you say when it's a Republican.

    Can you say HYPOCRISY?

If Rudy is smart, he will have some hard evidence to cover his booty because he could be a lost pawn in this mess. I am rewatching his recent interviews now.

I heard someone say (tongue in cheek) if Trump is removed from office Pence will become President and will pardon Trump. Pence will then appoint Trump as his Vice President. Once he has done that he will resign and Trump will become President and appoint Pence as Vice President.

    Regards,

You forgot to include the President’s personal lawyer (Rudy) in your equation, which is HUGE. It shows it was PERSONAL for the President and he wanted dirt on his political rival, Biden. The transcript includes the President directing the Ukraine leader to contact Rudy, his personal lawyer. Rudy is not a government employee.

It shows nothing of the kind.

It shows that the President is aware of all the obstructionist communists in State who cannot be trusted to implement his policies.

Did you not comprehend where Ukraine tried to give evidence to State and Justice and we're stiff armed?

Edit:. President Trump is not the kind of man to sit back and wring his hands when he meets opposition. He's the kind who finds a way to get the job done.

    Regards,
    Happyguy :)

Democrats have decided not to play by the rules (laws). Trump has been dealing with these people all his life and he is showing people like VR and Redwick how it's done.

To be honest if I were president I would have my personal attorney involved in just about everything. Government lawyers represent the government. Where are their alliances? I know my attorney's loyalty because I am renting him. I say renting because you only rent allies, you don't buy them.

Please explain Rudy’s role, if he is not on a mission by the President to get dirt on his political rival. He is not a federal employee and simply is the President’s lawyer and does not represent the government in foreign affairs.
