...and if not to personal, what do you do for a living? From the 60 hour a week thread, I think a lot of times it comes down to "do you like your job?" If you like or get fulfillment from your job, the hours go by a lot easier. I'm a VP of a company. I'm in charge of supply chain, product management and marketing. It certainly isn't always "fun", but it has been a fulfilling career. I like the industry, I enjoy the people I work with (vendors and factories too), I'm the president of an industry board (currently...my term is up next year), and I have the biggest corner office. Some of my closest friends are competitors even. That happens a lot in my industry because people move around. My biggest competitor is my best friend and he used to work for me.
