A good friend attended a gun show in the Washington/Idaho area over the weekend. He took these pictures from one of the few tables that actually had ammo for sale. He said he stood back to watch and actually saw people buying this stuff at the listed prices. Amazing!

Folks were buying this stuff at this price. That blows my mind. I almost feel guilty for how cheap I can load my homemade cast ammo. I don't, but almost.

I was at a show this past weekend and saw 9 mm selling for a dollar around and thought that was bad! Glad that I had stocked up when it was so cheap…

I think I would just buy a really powerful air rifle and have fun with it.

Today I looked at AIM Surplus, KY Guns and others and they have NO surplus guns. SG Ammo has ZERO ammo in 9 and 45. Hell, they are even almost at zero stock on .410 shells ; only one brand and 150 shells for $145.

LOL, the Post Falls show had some highlights. My Dad went and was texting me prices for guns. They had 6 Underwood M1 Carbines from $4,800 to $6000. 1/2 case of 5.56 for $650.

local sportsmans warehouse had an ok supply of .45 colt and rather decent amount of 10mm over weekend; problem was they were limiting to 2 boxes per caliber. some small caches of .380, .41, etc.

If people are really paying that, I guess it's time to think about selling some ammo.

There's a gun show here this coming weekend. I may check it out. Or not.

I remember the last time this happened. I made 800 at the gun show just walking around with a sign.

And later when 0bama said he might ban green tip I sold those $1 per round

    Seller's market for sure.

I have plenty of .380 FMJ, but was looking for a little more quality JHP to load up a few extra carry mags. Can't find any locally, online is sparse and vanishes as quickly as it appears.

Not paying those prices. I have plenty of defensive ammo in other calibers. Someone gave me 100 rounds of .40 S&W Gold Dots last week for helping his newbie brother find a decent 9mm pistol. Nice! I added it to the stash.

Crazy, I ordered 400 rds 9mm online in July and got it in early September. Paid regular price just had to wait a bit. Prices have gone up but not terribly if your willing to wait a bit.

    Hmmmm, I have 2500 rounds of Sig Sauer .380 I bought on clearance - 1500 at $3.98/bx and 1000 at $5.48/box.

I could make a really nice profit.

It’s crazy. I bought two 300 round packs of Aguila 9mm about a month ago for $150, and I thought that was high. I’m sure glad I stocked up about a year ago. When Walmart had their close out sale on pistol ammo they were selling those 100 round packs of WWB and Federal Champion 9mm for $15. Times have sure changed

Dang! I feel downright thrifty now! I bought 200 rounds of WWB 230 Ball and two boxes of 40g Minimags for $104 last Thursday. I thought I paid a little too much, but things are really NOT SO BAD!
    Thanks for this thread!
I just realized something; I could sell that remaining 100 round box of .45 Auto for a hundred bucks and just about be even!
Another sign of the times ammo-speculating, masked avengers and dishonest political scamming. Just so much "fake" to go around! YAY!
    God Bless America!

Saw this thread and it made me curious about what 9mm prices might be like on GB. The answer is not quite as crazy, but still nuts.

Think it is time to sell.

I call Rural King every morning. When they get in ammo I go get what they will let me have in 9mm and some in 45acp. So far their prices haven't gone up that much. My regular gun store is price gouging bad.

Suddenly buying 38 Super +P at $32.00 a box (50) makes sense. And it’s available.

    ;)

Jesus Christ! Crap like that is what keeps me from shooting what little I have.

We can thank panic hoarders for this nonsense. Every election cycle, every panic....right on cue.

GT’s usually has it on the shelf for that price, but I have always passed over it for being too high. Well, they don’t have any now.
