I know, I know. All these messed up law suits pop up all the time, but I don't know why but this one truly got on my nerves.

This dude's vehicle hit a part of a road that got washed out and plunged into a creek. There's no detail of how submerged his vehicle got but apparently he found an air pocket inside the car to survive the next 2-hours when he got rescued.

His suit against the government was that there should have been road closure. Okay, I might buy that argument.

But he's also suing the first responders because they didn't know that he was inside the car and rescued him earlier. I guess the first responders are expected to have X-ray vision or something and can see through metal.

Also, what sort of pathetic loser that just wait in the car for two hours while the air was running out instead of trying to make for an escape?

Ok, I've thought about it, and here's my thoughts:

Give the guy $0.5m, in cash, in a duffle bag. Then stuff him and his money back in the car. Have the same first responders outside, and he can negotiate the price of his rescue. I bet he not only gives up the bag, but also his wallet, the car, and the deed to his house.

The First Responders should stuff him back in his car. Maye then he'll be happy.

He's only asking for $500,000! Which IIRC is the max for which we're allowed to sue the State.

Somehow I doubt his small pocket of air had enough oxygen for him to survive for over two hours.

We have become a pathetic nation of Nancy Boys.

Any real man would be grateful to be alive, man up, and give thanks for being rescued.

Not blame and sue because he did not correctly evaluate the danger, was shatty driver under the condition, and he got hurt due to his own wussiness.

It's also funny because there are fire departments in Texas that would send him a bill for the rescue.
