Forgive my ignorance. I'm gonna try to buy a new G19 soon. They're pretty scarce around here now. Are Gen 4's over their problems now? I've got a G26 that I sometimes use with G19 mags and AG grip adapters. Will those older mags work in a Gen 4? Thanks for any info.

My gen4 19 has been flawless. It came with an 04 RSA. All previous Glock 19,17,and 18 magazines will work in a gen 4 19 provided Mag release is not switched to southpaw. Be safe

I bought my dad a gen 4 19 for christmas and the 1st time we went to shoot he had 2 shells fail to eject. Ive had my g3 19 for 10 years and have put 1000's of rounds through it and never had that happen. I'm looking to get a 23 and can't decide on g3 or g4 myself, but seeing hi act up the first day made me wonder.

A few weeks ago, I bought the last Glock 19 Gen4 at my dealer. It has been 100% reliable with a variety of ammo, including the weak white box stuff. I made sure it was a recent build. The test fire was only a few weeks old.

The Glock 19 is extremely popular and sold fast when the panic hit. You may not find any depending on what the president forces through. He is not one to negotiate, compromise or accept advise from the political opposition.

Anyway, I find the Glock 19 to be a nearly ideal combat handgun for concealed or open carry. Either a Gen3 or a Gen4 would be fine.

Wish I could find either a Gen 3 or 4 around here! I'd settle for either at this point.

Did he clean and lubricate the pistol before firing it?

I added a G17 to my stash last month...zero issues. Also yes your older 9mm mags will work in your Gen4 as long as you have not moved the ambi mag release to the other side.

Thanks to all for info. 19's seem to be in short supply. I can get a new 23 from the LGS but I'm 66 with some arthris in the hands. I had a 23 a couple years ago with a LW 9mm barrel. .40 cal recoil is tough on me.

Well I got quoted a pretty fair deal on a new Gen3 mod 23 today and I took it. I hope to find a .40 to 9mm barrel pretty soon.
