    I heard they redid the place, but I've never been there. I live in Bloomington, so it's probably the best place for me to go.

    I'm also curious about the indoor range at Popguns. Any input? Thanks.

    I live near Bloomington and shoot at the Martinsville range. It's a nice range, but they only open up membership once a year.

    Pops is a decent indoor range. If you shoot allot get a membership. Not only is it cheaper, but you also get to jump ahead of non-members waiting to shoot.

    Atlanta Conservation Club (ACC) will be hosting the Indiana State IDPA Match at the end of October. For more info, check out the IDPA web site.

    ACC also hosts a monthly match on the first saturday. IF your are not an IDPA member, you are welcome to shoot with us. You can also join at the match for a reduced rate.

    Feel free to send me a PM if you have questions.

    $60 each gun/entry if you do not pre-register.
    RO's & vol's :: first entry FREE, additional entries $20 off.
    $20 off for active military.
    I don't want any money until October 17th, but to get the $40 rate, I need
    to know you will be there. (Send an e-mail to:
    [email protected] )

    REGISTRATION INFORMATION I NEED FROM YOU :: ALL 6 THINGS, BY OCTOBER 1st.
    Full name --
    State of residence --
    Division(s) entered --
    Gun to be used - for each division --
    Special Recognition categories -- (Please state NO S.R. if none apply.)
    RO/Volunteer -- or Normal Entry --

    I will figure up how much money you will need for entry fees on October
    17th, and send you a confirmation e-mail.

    YOU CAN ENTER ANY NUMBER OF DIVISIONS --- AS LONG AS THE HOLSTERING DOES NOT
    CLASH.
    The holster is the key to the whole second gun thing. If your second entry
    is holster-less -- GSSF, any (or all) of the .22 divisions, carbine, etc,
    then you are all set. For that matter, if you shot, say, Revolver
    Right-handed and Limited Left-handed -- that would work from my perspective,
    which is to keep the match moving. (I doubt that particular scenario would
    happen, but if you are ambidextrous and want to try it, I am not going to
    prohibit it.)

    STAGES ::
    8 stages. All SCSA.

    ROUND COUNT ::
    200 (well, 195) for a 'clean' match. Bring 300 to 400 per gun to have
    plenty of ammo.

    No magazine capacity limits. (And, you may load 'em up !!!)
    Minimum of 5 magazines (or speed-loaders) per gun.

    PRIZES ::
    Plaques for winners of each Division, Smaller plaques for 2nd and 3rd in
    some divisions.
    There may be a prize for the overall lowest time of the match (ANY semi-auto
    gun).
    Special recognition plaques for :: Senior (55-64), Super Senior (65+),
    Junior (17 and younger), Female, and Challenger. These will be determined
    by relative finish WITHIN division. E.g. 3rd in a division of 10 = 0.3 and
    2nd in a division of 4 = 0.5 --- the 3rd place shooter is the winner of
    special recognition.
    Drawings for merchandise prizes will be administered by Jeff Brown. Each
    entry will receive tickets ( # tbd ) that the shooter places in jars
    corresponding to each prize. Random draw from the tickets placed in the
    jars determines the winners. Merchandise prizes will NOT be awarded for
    performance this year.

    NOTE ::
    ACC IS A COLD RANGE. DO NOT "GUN-UP" IN, OR AT, YOUR CAR --- USE THE SAFE
    AREAS, PREFERABLY WITH AN R.O., OR JUST WAIT UNTIL THE FIRST STAGE.
    You can load magazines anywhere EXCEPT THE SAFE AREAS :: but DO NOT remove
    your gun from its box or bag until you are on the line, ready to compete.
    (Or you are at one of the SAFE AREAS, with an R.O. :: For example - if you
    need to verify function, or clean something.)

    [Posted on behalf of ACC IDPA]

    Greetings,

    We will be hosting our regularly scheduled IDPA match at Atlanta Conservation Club this Saturday, August 6th. If you are planning on attending, please read this announcement in entirety. You can check for updates on the match at www.indyidpa.com. In the event we have to cancel due to weather, we will post something by 0600 on Saturday. This match promises to be challenging and lots of fun. I hope you can join us. We work really hard at designing matches within the spirit of IDPA.

    The IDPA membership policy goes into effect with this match. That means if you have ever shot an IDPA match with us, you will need to be a current, paid up IDPA member and we will check membership cards. A printed verification of membership from the IDPA website will be sufficent. You can join IDPA at www.idpa.com. We will accept a copy of the online transaction as proof of membership. Let us know if there are any questions.

    MANDATORY NEW SHOOTER ORIENTATION-NO EXCEPTIONS: We welcome new shooters but we do require they attend our new shooter orientation. The meeting will start promptly at 0900. PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL.

    The match will consist of 5-8 COF's with a round count around 70- 80. I recommend you bring twice as much. Courses of fire will be viewable on the website by 1800 Thursday evening.

    ACC is a cold range on match day. That means no gun handling except in designated safe areas or as directed on the firing line by your safety officer. There is no ammunition handling in the safe area unless you arrive with a CCW and then you may only do so under direct supervison of a safety officer. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER TO THIS RULE.

    The usual brass policy applies which means you can pick up as much as you want for 15 minutes after tear down is complete. COMPLETE MEANS ALL EQUIPMENT IS STOWED IN THE BARN. We have had some violations of this rule recently so I am going to ask our safety officers to be vigilant and take corrective action if necessary.

    Everyone is expected to assist with scorekeeping, pasting targets, and with teardown unless a physical disability prevents you from doing so.

    We need help with officiating and setup. You can shoot for a discounted or even waived match fee depending on how much you want to help.
    To receive a discounted match fee, YOU MUST RSVP AND SHOW UP BY 0800 SHARP TO RECEIVE A DISCOUNT. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    We will plan on meeting at the pole barn at 0800 on Saturday, split into groups, and complete our setup. If you show up really early, I may not have anything for you to do except maybe cleaning the restrooms or clearing trash out of the barn until I get organized. I REALLY NEED SOME SHOOTERS TO TAKE THESE TASKS ON. I appreciate any offer to help, but please let Joe and I get organized if you show up early.

    Details:

    Setup 0800
    New shooter orientation 0900
    Registration starts 0900
    Registration closes 0945 (no late registration permitted)
    Safety briefing 0945
    Shots fired 1000
    Match fee = $15

    Hope to see you on Saturday,
