Hello Guys, Hey, if this particular article has already been discussed here, I truly apologize, but I just felt it interesting enough to share amongst us. It is an old article, having initially run on 07 March 2019. An Indian Air Force Lieutenant Colonel was apparently shot down during a 'dog fight' with a Pakistani Pilot. The Indian Pilot bailed out successfully, & was subsequently captured by the Pakistani's. Upon being searched immediately after capture, he was found to be packing a Glock 26 [ Gen. 3 ], as his service weapon. Included in the article is a photo of his Glock, which was marked # 13 on it's trigger guard. Short article, but worth a look, IMO.

As per the photo, loaded with FMJs. Cockpits of fighter jets are pretty crampted, so I guess a G26 is a good idea. Shoulder holster or special pocket in flight suit? IDK.

AR7s were developed during the cold war for US pilots.

Unlucky #13! Unless the Paks did it, just to play head games!

Good article, I liked the comment that his mustache style and polite “I’m sorry, but I am not supposed to tell you this.” during interrogation except to name, rank, and serial number has become a thing in his region.

    #TeamIndia in this conflict.

Glock 26 is a fantastic choice. Small gun with access to larger capacity mags. Win for sure.

THANKS Guys for the support, it was my pleasure. There are far more Glock users out there than commonly known. I initially grew up on all steel Colt 1911's, but after actually owning my 1st Glock, a G17.2, I came to fully appreciate them for what they are, an excellent combat handgun.

I thought the MiG-21 he was flying was shooting the 10mm, hence why he won the dog fight against the Pakistani

I'm gonna have to get one too! I'd take the GLOCK pistol, but give me the F-16!
What do these two adversaries do with prisoners? Probably trade them back?
Is that what "repatriation" really means?

    Except he didn't win.

Mig-21 is gonna lose every time against an F-16.

Not necessarily. The tactics and skill can make the difference. The MiG-21 IS out classed by the F-16 vis-a-vis machine-on-machine with AESA radar and other avionics and weapons.

    Moral of the story...
    Don't fight an F16 with a MiG 21

Article says he was 1-1 in the fight though Pakistan denies it.

With that stash I’m not doubting him though...
