    Well Gang:

Today is my lucky day...I have about 600 rounds to throw down range to get the fell of my recently acquired Glock 23. I am looking VERY forward to it to say the least.

I bought some easy on and off ear protection and my eye protection is Military Grade Oakley Strike M Frames with clear lenses.

For anyone who is interested...people with Police, Military, Fire, Rescue and EMS Identification cards can get Oakley Ballistic eye-wear at Government pricing. Send me a reply if you fit that grouping and are interested.

I'm not dumping all 600 rounds. I just got a good deal so I stocked up on them.

excellent idea. I think I put 250 through mine the second time out with it. That taught me what shooting fatigue was. I was also shooting a couple other guns. Enjoy yourself and be safe.

Fired through about 150 rounds through the 23...and I love it. At 30 yards my accuracy was around 60%. Not too shabby from that distance.

Whoever recommended those Winchester Rangers...THANK YOU!!! They shot VERY smooth, fed and ejected with ease.

Let's see what next weekend has in store for me.

On a side note...I also had the pleasure of firing my friend's Glock 33, a 357Magnum, a 44 magnum and last but not least his elephant gun...a 500 Magnum with a 4 inch barrel. That last one kicked like a pissed off horse. Was LOTS of fun though.

Congrats! G23 was my first Glock ever--bought it back in 1993, and I still have and shoot it.

    Suggestion for you.

Replace the serrated (target) trigger that came on your G23 with the smooth faced trigger found in the G22. It's a drop in, you can easily do this yourself, and you'll avoid the very real tendency to get little blood blisters on your trigger finger.

I had to put the smooth faced trigger on my 27. What a big difference in not tearing my finger up. Best 13 bucks spent on my Glock

Excellent advice...where can I get one of these smooth triggers everyone is referring to?

I was also thinking about a Tru Glo sight for the front. Anyone replace their factory sights and would not mind sharing some pictures and pricing options for me???
