In the market for another 9mm pistol, what should I consider other than Glock?

OK, I'm looking to get a new 9mm that performs well as both a carry weapon and a range gun. I love my G26 and am leaning toward a G19. I was just wondering if you guys think I should consider another brand/model. Price is a factor, but I can pay a little more if I need to. I won't be looking at Kahr for personal reasons. Thanks!

Get yourself one of those new FN rollmarked Hi Power 9mm. Single action pistols are best!

H&K USP in either the full size or compact, either one is a good choice. ^c

I love my g19. Had it since '91 and it's been great. If I was going to try a differnt make I'd prolly give HK a shot (although they are so pricy). I have stuck with Glock for all my aemi autos. I like not having to think about which gun I have. If it's a Glock it's going to work the same no matter which caliber.

I have the 26 and 19 and like the fact that they have the same kind of triggers which helps my accuracy. Also have a S9 Steyr which has a very similar trigger. The M9 (about the size of a 19) are really cheap now.

As much as I love the SIG P226 in 9mm since you have a G26 I think you'll like the versatility of having a G19/G26 combo. I'd also consider the G34 if you want to go full size.

Check out a S&W 3913. If yop can find an older slightly used one without the rail attachment, all the better. An excellant carry piece.

I have a G-19/G-26 combo and it's great! Some holsters work with both pistols. The G-19 mags work in the G-26. The same trigger pull and sight picture. I CCW the G-26 in a fobus paddle and the G-19 is my H.D. pistol with Glock Tac Light. Both pistols have night sights. Glocks are easy to clean, require little lube, and you can fix them yourself. Both are reliable and tough as can be.;c

That said I own a P225 that is a favorite of mine. It feels great in the hand and is extremly accurate.

I've owned several guns over the years and I always end up carrying my G19. Light, easily concealed and 16 rounds of CorBon +P ammo. I can't imagine anything else would be better.

Ruger P85/89. Inexpensive yet reliable as a rock. I have a P85 which is about the same size as a G19 with the same capacity (15+1). It is just as reliable as my 9mm Glocks (never a malfunction) and can be found used for under $300. New P89s run in the $350 range at my local FFL.
