I'm leaving in the morning to go to Naples, FL. When I get down there, there is an 11 mile, one lane road that I have to travel in and out of to get to location. A CB is required to get down that road and I don't have an antenna for my radio.

Is there anyone out there close to I-10 or I-75 that would know of a CB shop that is open tomorrow that is along my route, or maybe one of you guys in the Naples area can point me to a place that will have an antenna and be able to tune it too.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not familiar with the area but try the nearest truck stop. Around here all the truck stops carry CB supplies.

also, radioshack, oddly enough, still carries CB stuff, but my first choice, by far, would be a truck stop.

There is a big CB shop in wildwood FL when you exit in Wildwood it's the first gas station on the right in the back of the parking lot next to the chrome shop.

I was gonna recommend the gas stations in back of the generic rest stops (cater to truckers).

Dalton, thanks a million. I actually found them on Wilson's website before reading your post. Just got off the phone with them and they are open tomorrow till 10pm.

I'll be headed south, so from what I understand, I take exit 329 and take a right headed west on 44. The chrome shop is on the left and they are behind the chrome shop? Or are they across the street from the chrome shop?

After you take a right on 44 they are on the right, I thought they were next to the chrome shop, but I know they are on the right side of the road.

Alright, thanks again. Hard to believe this is the only place between here and Naples that will be open tomorrow and sells decent antennas, though. I looked at RS, but they only had a few cheap antennas and I wouldn't have been able to tune it either.

If you are gonna spend the money on a antenna, At least buy an oil filled antenna or a little more $ on an air cooled one. Its worth it in the long run

The best antenna I have ever had by far is the skip shooter, but since this is a throw and go antenna I need a cheap mag mount. I don't feel like grounding or mounting. I may try the skip shooter and see what it does, but I really don't have a lot of time to be messing with it tomorrow.

In my pick up before I broke the antenna at a casino parking garage, I was tuned to a 1.1 on 1 and a 1.3 on 40. Needles to say, I didn't have a problem getting out and only got run over by people running big amps. I had my General Lee peaked and tuned so it was pushing 50 watts bare. I'll be using the same General Lee so I'm hoping the Little Wil will tune up to at least a 1.3.
