Because you want it is the only reason you need.
Well that's quite a conversation piece. One thing's for sure, it'll make you smile every time you look in the safe. Have fun with it.
I’m holding out for the adjustable sight model.

At only 2.5” less barrel length than a 10-22, that gun oughta crank out great velocity. If I had that revolver I’d definitely want to get a mag cylinder for probably 1600fps velocity? Wow
I can’t throw rocks at OP, I bought a NAA Ranger on a whim at a recent show. I wonder if Wilson will do a trigger job on it?
If comparing the differences in performance between the 10/22 and the Rough Rider......I wonder how much the cylinder gap will effect those differences......?
Coincidentally, I visited a gun show today and a guy had two of them for sale. I didn't check the price though.
If you are crazy then I am crazy too. I bought one through Davidson's about 10 days ago. They are currently out of stock on the .22 WMR $29.00 cylinder.
Hey, if you tape one of those "grabbers" to the barrel, you can pick up the tin cans after shooting without bending over.
only the chronograph will tell for sure but I’m guessing the loss in cylinder gap will be negligible.
i've been drooling over my friends ruger mk ii 10".... of course they sell for about a thousand used.
180 bucks for that heritage?! damn i might have to buy 2 just because i can.
Why wouldn’t you buy that?
it would be kewl for EDC.
Most of my 22lr rifles have about the same length barrel.
It will turn heads at the range.
While justifying something like that is a bit of a stretch, have fun and do what it is you do!
I voted for it being a good cane. Think of it this way... grandpa is having trouble. He is struggling to get up the stairs, even with his crazy cane.
Hold the cane securely. Plant the barrel in the step while steadying yourself. Pull the trigger... SHAZAM! A "stair-climbing boost assist".
It appears to be limited to a six-step maximum, so one would want to have speed loaders for a trip to City Hall. Long stairs!
These will be all the rage at the retirement center!
OK, I have it now. This thing is a testament to capitalism! Definitely cheaply made, but I can't find a thing wrong with it for utilitarian purposes. It definitely won't replace any of my other higher quality 22LR handguns. If I were in the market for a single action 22LR, I'd be more interested in something like a single six Ruger........but:
.....If it wasn't so cheap, and didn't have such a long barrel, I wouldn't have bought it.....but, the space in my safe is a perfect fit, and it's a good conversation starter. Nobody who's seen it, hasn't had a big smile......it's a joke in itself, and I'm glad to have it.
