They are amazing dogs. But they will be the next breed vilified like the pit bull. With bad breedings, increasingly prey and defensive drives we will start to see them turn ugly. Already starting to see where some PD K9’s are turning on the handlers. Mark my words, within the next 5 years there will be threads on GT that are nothing but Mal bashing haters.

This still doesn’t solve the age old question of, “Who’s a good boy”.

Jesus, those dogs can FLY. Most of those clips didn't even look real. I hope the owner is prepared to work as well.

I just watched another video where a little pot bellied pig was chasing a Belgian Malinois around.

    There is hope

Mals are way cool but any breed that gets too popular will be ruined. If I were 40 years younger, I'd have one.

They are cool but they are a lot of work.

I have 2 dutch shepherds. Like a Mal with an off switch. One of them wears me out. Smart and energetic as any dog I have ever had. You have to put in work daily or he destroys everything out of boredom.

Yep, a high drive working dog will wear your ass out. I had a GSD that was bred from sniffing/rescue stock and it's a good thing I was a young man. She was a terrific dog but it was hard to keep her properly stimulated and exercised. She owned me the first five years of her life.

I admire anyone whom can control, or rather, barely contain one, have never seen another animal in my life that as a breed, make a solid case for demon possession.

They are about as high strung as it gets, makes chihuahuas look calm by comparison.

They are very, very smart, and have prey drive out the wazoo.

A friend bought two about 10 years ago, to use to protect cattle. Major fail, had to have both put down when they were about 3 years old. They had killed more calves than the predators, could not help themselves, if something ran from them had to be chased and brought down.

Oh, and did I mention the crazy eyes????

Yea, my black lab is a ***** compared to them. He just wants to visit his girlfriend and hunt pheasant. He gets vanilla ice cream when my girlfriend comes over.
