I don't know who KE Hanzel is but I'd be willing to wager he's not happy. :)

Ouch, he got screwed in two categories!

I met him and his daughter; they shot right after me at the Plates stage. If there's any consolation, his daughter shot pretty well.;)

I would imagine he already had some wins and almost slipped through a crack. I'll venture to say he's a Master as of his AmGuardian win so he gets his money back for his other performances. Welcome to share the wealth. :)

Congrats to the Waldorf GSSF winner b. rhee! He is also a member of the winning Waldorf GSSF team, Team Blazer! You deserve the hard fought win (long overdue IMHO). Enjoy the new Glock pistol; which one are you going to get? Glock 35?? Regards, C.

I think I might go for a G35 and use it in USPSA Limited, and maybe in Production too with a 9mm conversion barrel (although I'm not sure if it's legal?).

I really like my G17 so I'm going to stick with it for the GSSF matches, even in the Competition category.

But, I might get a G30 just to have a 45 acp Glock. It's a lot of firepower in a little package.

I shot this match with KH. It was his first GSSF match and he shot very well. He still hasn't heard why GSSF chose to reclassify him almost a month after the fact.

Just another example of the arbitrary nature of the reclassification system.

Having been a victim of a similar descision myself, I am considering proposing a new division - "hosed" master. We would have plenty of members.

Perhaps it would be of help if we heard from Mr. Hanzel. I have yet to see any post from him on the subject. Eventhough this was his first GSSF Match if he was classified as a Master Shooter in any other shooting discipline he should have been a Master in GSSF any maybe it took GSSF awhile to get feedback from the other shooting disciplines(just a get). The "Share the Wealth" subject has been beat to death here many times so I see no need to beat it more here. The only way to possibly get it changed is to write to GSSF powers that be and take your chances.

I am not trying to slam anyone or stirr the pot but assuming Mr. Hanzel has access to a computer it would be helpfull to hear from him.:)

if he was classified as a master somewhere else i dont think he could have kept the win in AG. it looks like they elevated him to master after the AG win...but i dont understand how they could do that if it was his first match and he only won 2 guns???

Without taking a side, GSSF can do anything they want, their game, their rules. We won't hear, (or should I say see?) an answer here so it's all speculation on our part.

That said, if Mr. Hanzel or friend do hear from GSSF I'm sure we would all love to hear the reason. :)

I don't dissagree with your point. But I am curious as to why Mr. Hanzel hasn't posted his view unless of course he doesn't have online access. We can speculate all day long but only GSSF and/or Mr. Hanzel knows the real facts and we have not really heard them so far. I just don't feel we should bad mouth GSSF without all the facts. It hasn't gotten out of hand to this point and I would like to see any further discussions about it on a known factual basis if it needs further discussion.

Again I am not trying to stir up anything but we should not rush to judgement without knowing all the true facts.

I agree with Don and will show KH the thread next week at work. If he cares to comment he will.

    Meanwhile, see you in Topton.

    Good shooting,

That was the other part of my post. We won't know what if any rules were used (or bypassed) unless Mr. Hanzel or friend post the answer they get. It's still strictly a one sided issue to date. Neither Glock nor GSSF employees will post here, except jel letting us know results are up or web site issues.

Personally I'm curious but I'll live if I don't hear the rest of the story. I've had my moment of unhappiness, it'll pass.

I'll take what I can get but, he clearly beat me too.

K E Hanzel, if you read this, congratulations on the win.

I will also have to agree that Mr. Hanzel shot a great match. I don't know if I have ever seen an Amature Class shooter in his first ever GSSF match shoot the entire match with only one 2 second penality. That is some great shooting. Most Master Class shooters don't shoot that well on a daily basis in GSSF and we have some very good Master Class shooters.

    Congratulations on some great shooting.
