Before the announcement that Mr. Manafort will plead guilty to some charges related to lobbying, a new indictment was released. Read the article.

My personal view is that limiting campaign contributions, limiting lobbying, registering as a lobbyist is simply among the "feel good laws" that are routinely skirted and no one is interested anyway. Have you looked to learn whether your next door neighbor contributed to Hillary in the last election. Do you ever look at the list of registered lobbyists in your state capital? Of course not.

Having stated my view, Mr. Podesta is in trouble. In fact, as I recalled, both Podestra brothers had a financial interest and controlling interest in the lobby. All that is happening is buying/selling/trading influence. Unions do it. The NRA does it. So does the Los Angeles Unified School District. 30 years ago, one of my neighbors was making more than I, $100,000 a year as one of three paid lobbyists for LAUSD. In other words, the taxpayers hiring lobbyists to get money from the state.

No, no, no. He's flipping to incriminate Trump in Russia collusion. All the MSM says so.

My gut feeling is that the establishment is starting to worry about Trump going full "scorched-earth" on DOJ/FBI corruption and is letting Manafort off easy with cooperation on stuff not involving Trump.

He never had anything on Trump anyway. Maybe if the spun Don Jr right they might get a conviction but not many attorneys want to go into court with a bunch of maybes.

He has some information Mueller wants.

No one but the Manafort and Mueller teams know what it is and who it will impact.

    Time will tell.

    There is nothing here.

A big nothing-burger and some convictions of minor players for minor infractions that generally go unnoticed.

    It's a big yawn.

    It's a $30M yawn, but a yawn nonetheless.

If Trump did nothing then Manafort has nothing. What is most likely is that during his business career he borrowed money from Russians and told them whatever they wanted to hear so he could get it (there is precedent for this behavior) and its now getting brought to the spotlight and twisted and mangled to fit into the story line. Now all the criminals who wanted to ride the coat tails got caught up in this and they're being squeezed to say anything to avoid prison as most do. Its not a stretch to say the president is not a details guy so I'm sure he didn't do his due diligence on the people around him backgrounds. And despite his boasting he also seems very naive and short sighted (again there is precedence) so taking advantage would be easy for these scumbag criminals. Its in our best interest to see this through and not point fingers, if at the end of this it turns out that they are simply stopping Russian geopolitics and arresting spies all the while actually protecting the president and our country some folks will feel awfully foolish though I doubt anyone will admit being wrong. 90% of Muellers investigation is still under wraps so people are getting their information from an entity with an with one goal and that's the news and the goal is headlines. So an appropriate slogan would be, Make America Great Again.... through attrition.

That would be fine if Mueller was investigating Hillary, Huma Abedin, the FBI, and the DOJ, but he's not.

He also needs to investigate Kerry, Obama, John Podesta, and HIMSELF!

If everyone who attempts to influence the results of an election gets thrown in jail, there will be damn few of the electorate left outside to vote, and nobody to vote for because all the politicians will be in the pokey.

Just something to consider. Mueller’s reputation is mud. He appears very partisan. Maybe to save face, he might take down Podesta brother to show “he isn’t biased” and give him or them a sweetheart plea bargain before another prosecutor can act.

Hillary and Huma are safe. I think Strozk and McCabe might have more legal worries than Trump.

There's no excuse for none of them to be safe although you're probably right, but that doesn't make it right.
