Last night out of the blue, my images quit displaying with Opera.

    Using Win XP Pro.

I dumped cookie, temp files, etc but didn't help.

Navigation --> Load all images will load a few.

    Ideas?

Forgot to add, virus defintions are up to date. Norton and Housecall both scan clean. No spyware/adware detected.

I forget that everybody doen't consider that to be a basic ;Q

Firefox and IE do work ;Q

I just like Opera better due to the mouse gestures.

    (wild guesses)

see if images got turned OFF on your toolbar.

    also, empty your cache.

EDIT: oops. looking over your first post, I guess you have already tried these

Check your timeout settings and increase them. Might have slow DNS looking up for the image servers.

Have you updated anything else, firewall, etc recently?

Is Opera looking for a proxy and no other browser is and then it has to time out before it goes straight to the 'net?

Are there timeout settings within Opera proper? (see first question)

Is there some stack issue with Opera and WIN? (this is very possible as MS has changed stacks just enough to screw up everyone else's browsers before)

Since you commonly use Opera, could some cookies/spyware have imported itself into the Opera settings?

Have you tried blowing away Opera and cleaning the directories it left behind then reinstalling?

Have you tried Opera as another user on the same machine?

    What DanH said....

Manually remove all Opera folders from your HDD before rebooting and reinstalling it.

Some User Settings are being migrated, would be my guess.

I tried everything but the last. Nothing helped.

No spyware crap either. Nothing new added. Nothing other than current anti-virus definitions. Maybe that is is?

I have switched to Firefox now and no problems, altough I am perplexed :(
