It's really wearing on me.
Ohhhh-kay . . . ?
Anybody else who works/worked patrol knows what I mean.
I'm inside the fence, but I understand it.
Yep, and I'm with you. It's as if that is a magic word that can undo all the evil that the one uttering it has ever done, just by screaming it at the top of their lungs.
I've noticed that people who aren't even criminals yell it as much if not more than the criminals. I just don't get it. My only theory is that they think it will sway me from doing my job for fear of a lawsuit or something?
I'm not racist. I hate everyone.
Christ. I'm a light skinned, red haired Jewish kid who happen to dabble in Neo-Paganism.
And yet I have all sorts of folks accuse me of being a white devil, cracker, joo, jewboy, etc., etc., etc.
I just realize that they're just jealous of my studly looks. I just left it all roll away . . . now I'm channeling my inner hippie.
I get tired of it too but again it doesn't stop me from doing my job. I mean, I get called a lot worse than that. Strangely, I have had the president of the local NAACP chapter in my patrol vehicle for a ride along. He wasn't offended by me so apparently I can't be that bad.
bro, youre in the wrong line of work if youre going to let name calling by sub-humans bother you....
Someone once said to be called a racist means you've won the argument.
..maybe you could blacken your face with some shoe polish? Let them know that you are one of them?
...there's no need to discriminate, hate every mother ****er that's in your way!
Stop nightsticking the colored folks and this will no longer be an issue.
One of my guys was called a racist by a lady who was bumped in a no-damage crash. She felt the other driver should have been issued a ticket.
She made this complaint to me at hq, three hours later, crying, after speaking with her "law-yah", who also told her to be sure to add to the report that she injured her neck and back.
Fire....die in one. Soon.
I've had drivers use the line on me "You only stopped me cuz I'm......"
I tell them they're only saying that because I'm a white police officer and I think that's racsist. They usually don't know what to say after that.
My general thought about it no matter what you do or say you can not change a persons perception if they are head strong. opinions are like a!!holes everybody got one is my general rule of thumb. I hear it all the time but just move on, I do not have time in my life to explain myself to no one if they are mind set.
I am so going to use that one!
Its funny how that seems to be the default excuse now. I usually mention that it must be my new glasses that allow me to ascertain the race of a person, at night, with window tinting, speeding down the road at 80MPH.
FWIW, I once had a white crackhead call me a racist because I let his black friend go and cited the white guy because his attitude sucked.
It will never stop, no matter what you do.
I just throw it right back at them and tell them the only reason they are crying racism is because I'm white, but that doesn't make what you did any less illegal.
