Yeah, think about all the whining that goes on about .40 recoil. :tongueout:What about the recoil!!!! Oh the horror!
I carried various Glocks appendix IWB for 20+ years.
Over a year ago, I transitioned to strong side IWB, I've tried various Glocks 23/22/35 repeatedly but they are just not as comfortable IWB as a 1911.
I give up, I'm stuck with carrying a 1911.

1911s are 1.34 inches wide. That actually compares favorably to a number of subcompacts. Check out the table at the link below. The FNS 9 compact is 1.35 inches wide. The H&K USP Compact is 1.38 inches wide.I give up, I'm stuck with carrying a 1911.

What holster is that? I like the cant on it.
You stole most all of my thunder..... I was going to post that there's many things worse to be stuck with. Kudos.I can think of many worse fates than having to carry a 1911............................
Not the slide, which is quite a bit thinner and the part that would go IWB.1911s are 1.34 inches wide. That actually compares favorably to a number of subcompacts. Check out the table at the link below. The FNS 9 compact is 1.35 inches wide. The H&K USP Compact is 1.38 inches wide.
Got to love those 1911s. I know I do.

Slide width, but especially length. Not the slide, which is quite a bit thinner and the part that would go IWB.
Just slip a 1911 into a USP Compact holster and it will really show how much of a difference.
Too bad.I carried various Glocks appendix IWB for 20+ years.
