After all the BS ive been through with the commanche Baer, i've decided to pull the trigger on a 5" Wilson CQB. George had one in stock with almost the exact specs i would order, so i decided to give it a shot.

The Baer is at the shop for the 2nd time, and will be sold even if it runs fine. The customer service has been absolutely horrific, and that has turned me off enough to give up on the gun. I will still follow through with the 1.5" UTC i have on order, and pray for the best.

I'm gonna stick to the 5" guns until i have a full understanding of the platform, but i know i will never buy a commander sized Baer again. Kobra carry, NN, or Wilson will be high on the list though.

The gun i bought is the second Wilson listed on the page. 5" naked slide with flush cut/reverse crown barrell, single side safety, tritium sights, no FCS, etc... Its perfect, although i may need to change to a plain rear sight. I'll post pics when i get it (after the Baer sells).

You'll like the CQB. Its the most popular 1911 Wilson builds.

Congratulations! The CQB is a great pistol. It's the one that got me hooked on the 1911 platform. George is a good guy to deal with and that's a good looking Wilson you got!

(bac, paying you a tribute with this picture style. Unfortunately, my camera skills are lacking.)

He is a bad man, no way that guy gets invited to any 1911 interventions.........

"you want me to quit with the 1911s and you invite HIM to this" ???
