I guess I'm tired of wearing out my credit card. Basically, I'm an avid clay shooter. Figured I would dump the handguns I rarely use. Used the cash to buy two new shotguns which I use or will use a lot. My Sig and Glock are my absolute favorites! I really enjoy shooting both of them!

When I was competing, I had two 1911 .45's exactly alike that I always took the matches in case one broke down. Than there's the CC gun, the .357 Python that I used for a Boar hunt in TN, my German Luger as part of a WW II collection. Of course, couldn't get rid of my Ruger Single Six .22 I've had since I was a kid. And then there's the .22 Sport King my folks gave me as a birthday present on my 12th birthday. We can't begin to go into the hunting rifles, hunting shotguns and my long range rifles with scopes. And the list goes on. Only two? Hard to see how.

I’m only using 2 for CC but need to upgrade my small gun to either a LCPII or G42. Or lately I’ve had the crazy idea of a G26 gen 5 as a sole CC firearm.

Yes go for the G26. Best gun I own. I have the gen4 but going to get a gen5 to go with it soon. I like the G43 too.

It essentially states that if you have something you use and enjoy, continue to enjoy it. But if you no longer need or enjoy it, give it now to friends or family who would appreciate it. Otherwise, get rid of it. Because if you're no longer using it, and your friends and family don't want it, no one is going to want it when you're dead.

Having served several times as an executor, I can attest to the PITA it is getting rid of other people's things. Once you have, you'll never again criticize those who choose to de-clutter -- even if that includes their firearms.

I have been out of the gun game for the last 2 years. Been buying more investment real estate than guns. I don't think I would ever be down to two guns though. However, our focus can change with life changes.

Now that I moved to the country and can shoot off my back porch, I'm looking to adding more wheel guns and building out a walk in safe/closet in my reloading room. :cowboy:

Dealing with other people’s stuff has definitely made me anti-stuff, the fact that in the past I always lost money selling my stuff has just enhanced my minimalist beliefs.

This is a timely topic. I have been thinking about thinning out the collection as I find myself with multiples and I'm feeling overwhelmed.

A good friend of mine gifted me his second generation police trade G-22. I'd like to keep it as well as the first Glock I ever bought, a G-19 from the mid 90's. Got an old worn out G-26 I've been shooting and carrying for years I'd like to keep. And the old lady's G-42 and G-26.

Other than that, I think it's time to put the extra money into the house and perhaps spend a little on target ammo for the gifted .40cal.

This thread might be the kick in the pants I need. Thank you for that.

Only two. I have 7 pistoles, a shotgun two 22's two ar15's and an ar10. and two revolvers. And I'm a piker when it comes to some of my friends. I need more . You can never have enough guns. There is a guy in Alaska that has over 200 rifles and handguns and he says that he needs more. I guess it's all in your perspective as to how many is too many.

I am on that route right now. Health and no one to leave them to, is making me selling about 8 guns. That would still give me a few in different flavors. Two of which being a AR-9 and a AR-300BLK . Making a list of ammo to sell is going to take me awhile. Just don't know how the best way is to sell them I would like to work with somebody close so we can do it face to face.

Also have to silencers that I need to figure out what to do with?

Just can't get out there and shoot them like I used to, so why not sell them and put the money aside for the kids when it is time for me to go HOME.

Above was mostly just a joke, but I have carried 3 while hiking in Wyoming. (G20 w/6" bbl on the bottom side of my pack, in a BH Serpa "shoot-your-leg-off" rig; G43 aiwb; and a Freedom Arms 22 in pocket.) Also, once, Freedom Arms 83, 500WE, in a chest rig in place of the G20...

If I ever do not use one of my guns I may sell it. That day has yet to come. the only gun I've ever sold was my first, my 22.3. I sold it because I was issued a G22.4 for work and didn't see the point in keeping it. as time goes on I wish I'd kept it, after all, it was my very first gun. oh well.

I get very attached to my belongings. Both of the trucks i've sold I've prayed to God to have someone come get them, and once I sign that title over and get cash in hand I get a bit teary eyed watching it drive off. This last one was hard, I will always regret it. I needed to sell it because I bought another and just couldn't float insurance/the deficit to my savings account. but that thing was one of a kind. Crew cab, long bed, 5speed 7.3 diesel with porno red interior, that thing was a SWEET ride. you could fall asleep at the wheel the seats were so comfy. I love those old fords, always will. I'll get another when the time is right.

2 9mm (both G19 gen 4)
2 10mm (g29 and g40)
And a 357mag s&w 586
I used to have a lot of guns, but have ditched all the excess. A bunch got sold to pay for my pricy clays shotgun. I have no desire for more.
A 357 snubbie might be nice though.
