Wow....I joined the Glock forum, but I didn't realize that they had a section dedicated to the Glock 30......I carry one everyday!!!!!! Actually, I just got back from the range a couple of hours ago......these suckers sure are accurate, aren't they?

Standing off-hand, with 230gr. ball (and switching hands each magazine) mine will hold a ragged, baseball sized group (50-80 rounds) at 50 feet.....

You can rest assured that I will visit this forum often.....

I love my G30 as well. The problem is, I love my G29 more. ;)

By the way, ;F to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome!!! Actually, I've thought about the G29....what is the recoil like?

Recoil is greater than the G30's when firing hot ammo like DoubleTap, but its managable. I like the G29 better because it fires a more powerful round and is slightly shorter in the grip, because it doesn't need an extension to hold 10 rounds.

Congrats on the G30, Thick45. I love mine. I'm just starting out with 10mm and have a G29. As bac1023 says the G29 definitely has more recoil than the G30 and I'm just now in the process of learning how to handle it. But, it is really fun to shoot. Shooting those Double Tap loads is exhilarating. I really like the G30 and it's been my favorite glock (I've all the glock 9mm's, the G27, G23, G36), but I think the G29 going to supplant it once I learn to shoot it better.

I will be stopping in the gun shop after I get off work, so perhaps I will look at the G29.

The DoubleTap 45acp is a whole nuther animal in the G30 -- mucho punch at both ends. . . I tried them, but went back to standard pressure Golden Sabre -- the additional muzzle lift with the hot loads was increasing my multiple shot times disproportionately. Better more lower energy hits in a shorter period.

IMHO the 29 kicks less than the 30 when using fullpower Double Tap ammo in both.

I love my 30 a lot, but I think I love my 29 just a teeny tiny bit more. ;3
