A banner-towing aircraft bearing the message, "If you died today, would you go to heaven or hell? John 14:6" crashed while attempting to carry its message along the Hudson River during the one-year anniversary of the US Airways flight 1549. The plane was hired to carry the message along the same flight path as the infamous Airbus that splashed down in the Hudson River one year ago. It was hoped the message would reach the passengers and their families who had gathered to commemorate the anniversary of the 'miracle on the Hudson'. The aircraft reportedly suffered engine failure and was forced to drop the banner before going down in the Fresh Kills Landfill (where the 9/11 debris is stored). No one was reported injured in the mishap.
