Good find! That will teach me not to post at Happy Hour! And thanks for working up that essay.
Er, in the interest of full disclosure, you were right. Espousa is wife, and espousas is, or rather are handcuffs. I was being facetious.

If you have time to post during happy hour, you're not doing it like they did back in the day.

Thanks for that but actually esposa is wife and esposa (s) is handcuffs.

There is no U in either word. It is a confusing term. My wife called me on that U when I showed her your post. .

Singularly handcuff and wife in Spanish are both esposa.

That is enough to send me back to Happy Hour today with NO texting! :D

It's all speculation at this point......WS, you should spend less time trolling and more time thinking.
That's somewhat ironic in that the whole thread is trolling to get to the thing you wanted to post about in the first place.

Why a poll about gun running where you first claim the US government shouldn't be involved, then you come out pages later that the US government should be involved?

Why not just ask if the US should militarily support Socialist Guiado over Marxist Maduro?

Actually wife = esposa (no u), handcuffs - esposas. Hmmmmm they shouldn't be that close! :)

There is no singular in handcuffs, there are two so always "esposas". I'll go to the corner now.

It's not speculation. America is pushing another coup in Venezuela which is ironic since our president is the subject of a coup attempt against him.
Read the links, search out more info. The CIA was caught running guns into Venezuela so, the premise of your thread is already happening.
Ask yourself why we are doing this.
Search out info on American regime change in S America. We have overthrown nearly every country in SA at least once.
Ask yourself what a civil war in Venezuela will do to the illegal invader crisis at our border.
While you're at it ask yourself why Trump would sign a bill allowing more illegals in (maybe he knew that regime change in Venezuela would lead to a humanitarian crisis).
While you're on your mission to broaden your horizons read about the petro dollar, the end of the gold standard, our 200trillion plus debt and how we fund it all.

Maybe! It is debatable among grammarians
Much like English, Spanish words differ from one country to another. English is my second language, I was raised partly in Spain and that is the Spanish I spoke, until we arrived in Florida and I had to learn to speak Cuban to fit in (no, it's not a language, but it certainly is different from the Spanish I knew). :)

It appears as though Trump is remaining (publicly) silent regarding Guido's plea for help this past weekend. He has expressed concern for the people of Venezuela, just as he did for the people of Iran. The difference is he has received a plea for help in Venezuela. As I said in the beginning, I doubt Trump will act, but if he did, I'd support him in that. It's political dynamite to act, and to do so could very well be bad for his standing with the American public......especially with his political rivals.....the D's and Rinos, and the MSM. Doing the right thing in support of the oppressed might be a "bridge too far", for Trump, and I couldn't blame him if he regretfully does not help, but passively watches as Maduro uses dictatorial measures to control his opposition to power.

I am going to say yes and here is why .

I feel that the will to fight a dictator might be stronger than anything else . Your country has turned on you , how much worse can it get than that .

Now if it was England needing guns , NO I would not send them anything . Use your whistles and clubs. Just look at how England looks at us and our gun laws ? I am sure there is always some of the British who want guns but if there is they get very little air time . Also who can trust the media but what you here is always negative about us gun loving nuts across the pond .

Maybe I "NEED" 25 guns so that if some country was to invade us I could help arm 24 other people instead of crying please send us guns . What amazes me is they didn't learn from it and are disarmed again .

We sent the Brits our personally owned firearms to help in their defense. I recall reading that the Brits dumped our firearms into the Ocean after the war. No, I would not give "Freedom Fighters" of any nation my firearms!

Other nations trash our Constitution, Bill of RIGHTS, and society, but when the SHTF, they have their hands open for firearms donations. WTF!

Nope. First off they got the government they asked for and deserve. Second, despite some rallies, not enough of them are rising up to throw off the shackles to represent a majority.

Yes, we helped Britain then as soon as their fat got out of the fire they reverted to their old ways.

I'll spend my efforts to preserving our freedoms, anyone else can earn theirs.
Man, I could not have said this any better myself.

No. They got what they asked for and tolerated for years then followed the giveaway cart right off the cliff. Self made victims. California going the same way.
