... Glock would announce at the SHOT show that they will be producing a G26 Gen 4 with a frame rail. For the longest time I've tried to become intimately familiar with ONE gun that meets most of my self defense needs: very concealable but also perfect for home defense and night work. I shoot the Gen 4 Model 26 very well and it conceals well, but the most popular available tac light is a fairly anemic tradeoff that requires three screws to attach, which makes it a challenge to remove it in the morning (Streamlight). Soooo, I've taken what I think is a middle road, with a Gen 4 Model 19 for home defense, bearing a Streamlight TLR-1 HL and a Kahr CM9 for CC because it's marginally smaller and lighter than a Glock 43 (which gives me problems due to my thumb preventing reliable slide lock). With the CM9 I can even pocket carry comfortably, but most often will carry in a Galco Tuck-N-Go so I can tuck a dress shirt if the situation demands. Both of these guns get regular workouts in IDPA matches. I will be watching the SHOT show news as it breaks and hoping Glock answers my prayers.
