If glock is so perfect why do people change out parts that are not factory spec?why not leave it stock? I can understand sights but everything else I'm thinking if it ain't broke leave it alone.

You can't improve a Glock because it is built to be the best it can be!

People change out the parts only because they can.

You can change something to make it your unique gun, but I don't believe there's any functional parts that need improvement. Mine work just fine, with OEM parts.

The reason I like it so much is because it has such a large aftermarket following and that parts are so easy to swap.

    It is the 1911's fault.

From the start it was a great military gun that was designed rather loose for reliabilty.

If you wanted a good shooter modify, modify, modify.

Glock came along many years later with new materials and processes and built what they call "Perfection". :faint:

    People can't help themselves.

I tinker with my 1911's, that I don't carry for self protection.

Everything can be improved. Why do you think a Glock costs $500.00?
Because they use parts that are cheap and can be improved upon.
Do they work good from the factory?
    Yes.
    Can they be improved?
    Yes.
It's a personal choice. Why do people who don't want to improve anything on their Glocks try to tell people who do want to change parts that they shouldn't?
We don't tell you to change parts. We leave it up to you.
Why don't you leave it up to us?

I totally agree. Not too long Ago I purchased a Harley but, yet I still added S#IT to to make it mine. The same goes for my Glock, Smith, Springfield so on and so forth........

Sometimes people want to spend money and personalize. It isn't usually necessary. Some call it a an upgrade to the way they like it. I understand it. It doesn't make sense to me pouring $1000 into a $500 gun that already functions great.

I bet this guy thinks his car looks great too.....

I personally don't.....It looks clean, but really, you have to tune it all the time, and can't drive over a crack in the road....what good is something that looks good and isn't reliable?

I'll keep my car and my Glock Stock. ( I may do something like upgrade to a manufacturer option on the car, or a factory mod, like extended slide stop or smooth trigger)

Where on your car do the "extended slide stop or smooth trigger" go?
