    Looks like I can get 50lbs of DE for around $20.00. Why doesn't everyone spread this around their homes?

    Rain washes it away and wind blows it away. Breathing it is no fun, won't cause long term damage, but still not fun. Pest companies use this stuff by the ton, dusting it under houses and into attics, walls and floors.

    DE will only treat the larvae in the soil, you need to find the plant/tree that they are on(there is a source of them around that they are infesting) and spray it and treat the soil below and around. Look at hibiscus, orchids, or other flowering plants around the property, you will find them. Since you are finding them inside it must be something very close to an entrance.

    I get them on my patio....seemingly on anything made of bamboo.
