Hi guys :) , currently having a project gun, a .40s&w 2011 long dust pistol. Want some advice as to the ideal load rating for recoil spring. Asked sales personnel from twin pines and casa armas at mcs, they know nothing about it. Any advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks..;Q

this has been discussed in another thread recently.

go with either 12, 13, or 14 lbs. personal preference yan. go with the lightest recoil spring without battering the frame. if your pistol likes shock buffs, use one.

i use an ismi 12# spring with a 17# mainspring in my pistol. no buff. ayaw ng pistol ko shock buff

Thanks a lot EC, i suppose i'll go for 14 lbs., planning to buy wolff spring medyo mura lang kasi may padala pang firing pin spring sa trust trade at mcs (Php480). Again thanks for the advice. :)

Pangit wolff, madali mamatay. Stick to chrome silicon from ISMI or Nowlin. Si PB mey Nowlin. ;)

The Nowlin's cost P480 yata kay PB pero wala'ng kasama'ng striker spring. As for the ISMI's, I think Jasonub uses it, just don't know the price.

From the time I started shooting until i stopped, I used only 3 wolff springs on my 1911
I never bothered changing them basta walang jam

ISMI is quite expensive! about php1,375.00. ;Q I suppose it's a choice between nowlin and wolff springs if i have to balance the opinion of jasonub and allegra. ;Q
