I wrote a FORTRAN program last night (helping a neighbor's kid in college with a homework assignment.) First time in 30 years or so. It felt like old times. I always did like FORTRAN. You can download a free FORTRAN compiler for a PC. It's pretty neat. (The compiler runs in DOS, and creates an .exe executable file. I like DOS, too. Finding the DOS prompt in Windows 2000 was one of the hardest parts.) I may use it more now that I have rediscovered it. Over the years, I have messed with Visual BASIC and some other object oriented languages for a while, but I found them all illogical and difficult to learn. I guess it's hard to teach old dogs new computer languages.
