....that a little Glock 26 Gen 4 would become my very favorite gun in my collection ! This gun is a little jewel. I own much more expensive guns but , the 26 does it all. After 600+ rounds, she will eat anything I feed her. Easy to carry, shoots like a dream, functions flawlessly, and feels just right in my hands. I have posted of the mods that I did to it which include the GAP mag floorplates, Glock extended slide release, Vickers Tactical mag release, and Meprolight 26 night sights but, I recently installed a Glock 3.5 lb connector and polished the trigger bar which made a huge difference in the trigger. Not too light but very smooth and crisp. I carry my 26 in a Milt Sparks summer carry IWB holster and it is easy to forget that it is there. I love all of my guns but, my 26 will be with me till the end.

I feel the same way about my G27..love it and it gets carried more than any other gun in my carry arsenal.

    I agree: [IMG]

Do the GAP magplates pinch your fingers when shooting?
I used to have them on my Gen3 G27, but back then, the magazines fit flush...so there was no spacing between the GAP extension and the grip frame....know what I mean?

Loved the GAP, but unsure if that spacing created by the new generation magazines will pinch....:dunno:

No. Not at all. They were the best upgrade I did to the 26!

I continue to believe that the G26 is about Glock's best effort.

Great little guns. Shot my friends G26 tons of times. Hopefully I can pick one up for myself shortly.

The XDs does look sweet but I dont think I could control a .45 that is that small. My local pusher showed me the new Sig P-938 9mm today and I really liked it. I have a sig P238 which is an incredible gun and the 938 is about the same size. Pricey though at $700.00+ !

I think the 26 was Glock's answer to the AWB of 1994.

They really are great carry guns. It's a shame that mine will be heading back to Glock yet again tomorrow for warranty work.

Glock didn't redesign the sub-compacts, for Gen4 did they?

The Recoil spring assembly stayed the same, but the texture of the grip frame was made more aggressive, the magazine release button was made larger, and most importantly, the grip circumference was made smaller (and with multiple backstraps, you can change the size).

I think the trigger bar is different too.....with a bump.....wait, I am about to say something I know nothing about..:embarassed:

Overall, same changes as all Gen4 except the RSA stayed the same.

They do actually have an updated RSA now (though they didn't in the earlier Gen 4 subcompacts). I got my gun back from Glock last week and they had replaced the RSA among other parts trying to fix the ejection issues. The new RSA in the gun looks very similar to the other Gen 4 RSA's with the metal sleeve between the two springs.
