It's a cold cruel world out there..... ^5
you got that....;f
Get a good disassembly/reassembly tape, watch it once or twice, then practice on your Glock a few times. You're now a Glock armorer.
Unless your motivation is to be able to get parts at a discount rate from Glock, you're wasting your time with the course. The most productive moment in the course will be when you eat the hot dog.
There's more than enough information available at glockmeister.com and topglock.com to teach you everything that you need to know.
I agree with learning from a tape or books but with out that little piece of paper I still wouldn't be a real Glock Armorer.... nope, sure wouldn't be would I?
Get it right......It was a BBQ sandwich with fries.;f ;f ;f
He is right. The only thing that I learned from the class that I couldnt pick up from the internet was how to diagnose problems and some phases of malfunctions. But Im sure that I could find it somewhere if I tried hard enough.
The discounted parts is a plus but you cant buy the parts for resale.;Q So basically you can get them to work on your customers guns and keep the costs down. It also has its perks if your frame is on the "upgrade" list. You dont have to ship it to Glock to do the switch out they can send it to your Dept. or FFL. You can also do warranty repairs and save your customers from waiting 2-3 weeks and sometimes to get there guns back from Glock.
But honestly that certificate sure does look reall cool on the wall.;f ;f
Most FFL Stocking Dealers aren't going to "sponsor" someone who isn't in their employ for any number of reasons the main one is liability.
Your best bet is to buy the new Glock Armorer's book from Lone Wolf Distributors (starts shipping in about a week) or get their CD-ROM.
The Pontificator I'm sure you're right on this one...
I'll get the book and one or two tapes and call it even.
the factory armorers manual is nothing different that what can be found on the net.
i've even sold some 3.5# connectors and installed them for the guys and the said "that's all there is to detail stripping a Glock?"
And your point is???
I wanted the training from Glock.
