I really want a G20 to add to the collection. Its it worth it? How expensive is 10mm? Downsides? I would only use it for the range.

Yes, I like my G20 and think it was worth the price but I love my G29
and get a lot more use out of it. 10mm ammo can be expensive and hard to find
    so I load my own.

Just got one last week. G20SF, my first 10mm and my first Glock. Took it to the range. Absolutely in LOVE with it right now. I reload and I already own a couple of .40's so the only extra cost for me is buying 10mm brass. But I have to say, I would still buy it even if I had to buy ammunition. It's that impressive to me.

Get it....bad mofo and ammo is not that expensive if you buy it in bulk. I have decent collection of handguns and if I was ever in a shtf situation, I would want my G20 with a handful of mags. One shot drop power....

Need to do some more research but is the price of the firearm the same as other glocks?

Just wondering because of the caliber...

I use the same press, and I like BlueDot pushing 180gr XTP's a lot in my G20SF. Dropped a doe with a single shot so I have no complaints.

The G20 is a great pistol. The 10mm will stop, drop and kill! It does not recoil and hammer on you like the haters want you to believe. There is so so to fantastic ammo out there. And some very well priced. But the big 10 lends it's self to the loader/reloader and is a joy to work with. One can go from mild to wild with what ever bullet you like.

    I like my G20! :)

With ammo online at places like underwood, the 20 isn't anymore expensive to shot than a 45acp..... But it is more powerful ;)

For now I'm handling my Need for Speed with a Storm Lake extended ported 357 Sig barrel for my G27.

No, it's not the big 10mm.
But a 357 Sig barrel and G33 mags are a lot cheaper than a new gun.
Plus there's plenty of LE Winchester Ranger T, Speer GDHP and Federal HST ammo
to buy, carry and shoot in 357 Sig.

Out of a 4.16" barrel I still should be getting some flavor of Magnum Force - LOL!

If you have the extra funds, get it! You just might make it more than a range gun.

Since you're planning to roll your own there aren't any downsides to it.

I am right there with you Bello! I am thinking Wilson Combat Elite (blued) in 10mm right after I sell this puppy.
